National Trails Day is a family friendly event to celebrate Spokane trails and nature. Whether a beginner hoping to learn about local trails or an experienced adventurer - this is the event for you. Everything is free except for the Run for the Hills.
The events start with Yoga for Kids! There will be an agility course, art projects, and nature walks specially designed for families. Check out the ponds with experts on aquatic life. Free maps of the Dishman Hills will be available.
The Spokane Mountaineers, Spokane County and Dishman Hills Conservancy are the sponsors but the other exhibitors include the Lands Council, U-District Physical Therapy, REI, Washington Trails Association, Out There Outside, Inland NW Hikers, Scotchman Peaks and Inland NW Land Conservancy.
The National Trails Day includes the 5-mile Run for the Hills ($20 donation). All proceeds will be used to support the Dishman Hills Conservancy’s goal to preserve the Wild Heart of Spokane.
