DISHMAN HILLS CONSERVANCY
Tour the New Wilson Conservation Area
Join DHC Executive Director Jeff Lambert for a private tour of the NEW Wilson Conservation Area.
The DHC has officially purchased the new Jack and Mary Jane Wilson Conservation Area. Come check out our brand new conservation area that helps us get one big step closer to connecting all our conservation lands. DHC Executive Director Jeff Lambert will guide you around the protected area to showcase the many different ecosystems within the area.
What once was a homestead of the Wilson family is now a beautiful 137-acre conservation area that will be managed by the Dishman Hills Conservancy. The area encompasses a variety of important ecosystems including wetlands, pristine forest, and ideal wildlife habitat for local flora and fauna. The acquisition of the Wilson property is instrumental in the DHC's effort to preserve biodiversity, habitat, and future recreation areas in Eastern Washington.
Please wear sturdy footwear and dress for the weather. Bringing a water bottle is recommended. Please meet Jeff in the lobby of the Shape Executive Center at 5915 S Regal St. 99223. From there you will carpool out to the property with Jeff. RSVP is required - the Wilson Conservation is closed to the public and accessed by guided hike only.
Due to the winter months, the tour may be cancelled because of weather. We will notify you either the night before or the morning of if cancellation is necessary. Email isobel@dishmanhills.org with any questions that you might have, or call Jeff Lambert at (509) 999-5100
