Volunteer Opportunities

Dishman Hills Conservancy has over 1000 acres that we own and maintain for the public. This requires help in maintaining the trails and the land. We also have an office that requires volunteers to help with office and event coordination. If you want to volunteer when we have a volunteer event, like trail maintenance or trash pickup be sure to leave us your contact information on the Keep Me Informed page. Or better yet BECOME A MEMBER!

Get More Involved

We are always looking for more volunteers that want to work with a great group of outdoor people that want to conserve land in Spokane. We are looking for volunteers that can do a job, maybe 4-10 hours a month. If you are interested in any of these positions please email volunteers@dishmanhills.org. 

Office Assistant

Writing thank-you cards to donors

Envelope address and stuffing

Data Entry

Event Coordinator

  Planning & attending hikes, nature talks, and events
Announce events through our social media and website
Track attendance and feedback

Forestry Stewardship
Work with our Property Manager, Dan Wilson, to keep our properties fire safe and provide public access
Limbing trees, stacking wood, removal of invasive plants and weeds, trail maintenance, etc.

DHC Ambassadors
Volunteer at an event booth at a show or trailhead,  and represent Dishman Hills Conservancy’s mission
Trail Stewards
Hiker assistance, light trail maintenance, trash pickup
Update DHC on trail conditions and report issues
