New Year’s Day Hike
with George Stratman
Open to Members*. This 5-mile walk will take us on the “Phillips Creek Loop.” We will climb 500+ feet in elevation as we ascend the “Flying L Trail” to where it intersects with the “Cliffs Trail” (Glenrose Unit). From there, we will begin the gentle descent to the “Inside Passage Trail” on our return to the Phillips Creek Trailhead.

This strenuous hike will meet at the Phillips Creek Trailhead (4102 S. Sunderland Drive) at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 1st and will finish at approximately 12:30 p.m.
This walk will be led by George Stratman, who is a retired naturalist and outdoor school administrator. George is currently a member of the DHC's Education Committee.
This is a strenuous hike (approximately 5 miles moderately fast pace across varying terrain with elevation gains in the range of 500 ft) and is designed to acquaint participants with the Phillips Creek area.
Please register early as this hike fills up fast.
Event is weather-dependent. Registered guests will be notified of cancellation prior to the hike.
