    Volunteer With Us

There are many opportunities to volunteer with DHC. To join our volunteer list, email Dan Wilson, Properties Manager/Volunteer Coordinator at Volunteers@DishmanHills.org and describe your areas of interest and expertise.

Volunteer opportunities include, but are not limited to:

    Workout in Nature:
Volunteers get some purposeful movement doing activities such as removing tree branches, fence removal, habitat restoration, litter cleanup, and other ongoing stewardship projects.

    Volunteer Steward Program:
Volunteer Stewards provide valuable services to our community by helping with trail maintenance, providing information to trail users, monitoring trail & ecosystem conditions, and reporting conditions & violations. DHC provides training and materials for Volunteer Stewards.

    Hike & Nature Walk Leaders:
Interact with members and friends by leading groups of 10 to 20 people through Dishman Hills while providing information on your topic of interest or expertise. You can choose the topic such as nature observation, native plants, photography, bird watching, fitness, or mental health.

    Photography & Writing:
Assist with documentation of nature, events, and history. Provide photographs for events, newsletters, social media... etc. Contribute articles to the DHC newsletter and blog.

    Event Support:
Event volunteers help us connect with other interested members and friends. Event help can include setting up and clean up, providing information, guest registration, photography, videography, giving away maps and swag.
