New Trail Signs - Dishman Hills Natural Resources Conservation Area

The Department of Natural Resources has started installing the new trial map signs within the Dishman Hills Natural Resources Conservation Area. Most are installed, but more signs are scheduled for install to include update of the maps at the main trail kioks.     We had the opportunity to review the new Kiosk poster design by the DNR last night. Based upon it's review and comments received at the open Community Forum for the new DHNRCA Trail System a couple slight changes will be made by DNR. At this point, we are hoing that these new posters will be installed at the trail head kioks of the DHNRCA by the end of November.
    We also had the opportunity to discuss updates to the outdated DHNRCA brochure and those conversation on desing and content continue.

      Well, with the added changes to include mileage measurements on the approved trail sections DNR was not able to meet the intended updated completion date of the end of November for the trail head kiosk maps. That said, these changes have now been reviewed and are back at the designed to include the changes for what will be a final review shortly.
      In addition, the final two missing intersection signs along the Pinecliff Discovery Trail have been received but are not scheduled to be installed along with their posts by DNR until Spring 2014.
